Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Lake Nakuru national park.
Depending on your location, on the 1st day of the 10 days Kenya budget safari, your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris will pick you up from either Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your hotel in Nairobi and he will welcome you and brief you about the safari. After the briefing you will then start on a journey to Lake Nakuru National Park a birder’s haven with millions of flamingoes and water birds and a home to white and black rhinos. Along the way you will enjoy views of the country side of Kenya arriving in the park in time for lunch you which you will have at your lodge after checking in, in the afternoon you will go for an afternoon game drive watching animals such as zebras, antelopes, elephants, leopards, black and white rhinos, as well as visiting the sanctuary to spot the white and the black rhinos and the Rothschild giraffe; and many birds such as flamingoes, African fish eagles, Cliff Chat, cormorants among others at the shores of Lake. After the experience you will drive back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer to Lake Naivasha.
On the 2nd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and take blissful breakfast. After breakfast you will check out from the lodge and meet your safari guide and transfer the park to spot the park’s early risers in the park. After you will connect to Lake Naivasha with the views of the stunning Great Rift Valley and proceed with your journey. Upon your arrival you will check in your lodge and then enjoy your lunch. After lunch, you will go for the boat cruise on Lake Naivasha that offers a scenic safari experience that allows the tourists to spot the hippos, giraffes various bird species like kingfishers, fish eagles and among others. The cruise takes place on the lake’s beautiful waters that offers you the chance to observe the wildlife and enjoy the perfect views with some tours also offering visits to the crescent island, a private sanctuary for a closer encounter with animal species and various bird species. After the experience you will transfer to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Maasai Mara national reserve.
On the 3rd day of the safari, wake up early in the m0nring and enjoy your hearty breakfast. After breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and prepare for your journey to Maasai Mara national reserve. Along the way you will be impressed with the unique features and the beautiful landscape. Along the way you will have the enroute lunch, after lunch you will continue with your journey until you reach the reserve, upon your arrival you will have the late afternoon game drive to spot the African big five mammals that includes buffaloes, rhinos, elephants, leopards and lions,. As well you will spot other animal species like giraffes, zebras, antelopes, cheetah and various bird species. After you will drive to your lodge check in for dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 4 and 5: Full day in Maasai Mara national reserve.
On the 4th and 5th day of the safari, get up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast you will meet your safari guide and then get ready for the full day safari experience. You will spend this one full day exploring the endless plains of Maasai Mara national reserve searching for the abundant wildlife including the black manned lions, Cheetahs, leopards among others with picnic lunch served at the picnic site at Mara River. If you visit the reserve in the right time for the annual migration that is July – October, you will be able to come across vast herds of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles wandering across the Mara grasslands. Optional you will go for the Maasai village tours for the unique cultural experience that allows the visitors to immerse themselves in the traditional way of life of the Maasai people. The tour includes a visit to the local village, where the guests can learn about the Maasai customs, traditions and crafts such as beadwork and others. Visitors can participate in traditional dances, enjoy local cuisine and others. After the full day in Maasai Mara national reserve you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Transfer to Amboseli national park.
On the 6th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and you will have breakfast early in the morning safari and then check out of your lodge in Masai Mara national reserve and after this you will have an enroute- morning game viewing experience in the reserve to see the wildlife species which are active during the morning and can easily be seen as you continue your drive to Amboseli national park.
You will have a stop in Nairobi for the en-route lunch and later you will continue your journey to Amboseli national park where you will check in at your lodge. You will have the late afternoon game drives in the park to where you will have a close experience with your surroundings in the national park and to enjoy views of the snowcapped Mt Kilimanjaro while spotting the incredible animal species and bird species. You will return to your lodge after your nature walk to have your dinner and overnight in the comfort of you lodge.
Day 7: Full day in Amboseli national park
On day 7th day of the safari, get up early in the morning and enjoy your hearty breakfast, after breakfast you will meet your safari guide and then proceed for a morning game viewing experience, while taking the wonderful pictures in the savannah plains of the national park which is home to herds of elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, antelopes, zebras, antelopes, lions, leopards among others as well as different bird species.
You will return to your lodge for lunch and later in the afternoon, you will have another game viewing experience to search for wildlife species and to enjoy the sunset after which you will be driven back to your lodge for your dinner and to spend the night at your lodge.
Day 8: Transfer to Tsavo West national park.
On the 8th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast, after breakfast check out from your lodge and meet your safari guide and then transfer to Tsavo west national park, with the perfect sightings along the way. And once you arrive you will check in your lodge for lunch. After lunch you will meet your safari guide and transfer to the park for the relaxing game drive and this is where you will spot animal species like elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, antelopes, zebras, and different bird species. After the experience you will transfer to your lodge for dinner relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 9: Transfer to Tsavo East National Park.
On the 9th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast you will check out from your lodge and then transfer to Tsavo east national park with the morning enroute game drives as you proceed to Tsavo east national park. Once you arrive you will check in your lodge and the enjoy your lunch. After lunch you will meet your Kenya safari driver and then go for the afternoon game drive in the park to where you will spot the great gerenuks, waterbucks, buffaloes, lions, and among others, without forgetting bird species. After the game drive you will transfer to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 10: En-route Morning game drive and transfer to Nairobi.
On the 10th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast you will check out from your lodge, you will meet your safari guide for the enroute morning game drive in the park to spot the early raisers that includes the elephants, lions, duikers, elands, rhinos, giraffes, baboons and among many others; and various bird species. After the enroute game drive you will drive and proceed to Nairobi, and once you arrive you will be dropped at your convenient place either at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or to your hotel in Nairobi that will make your safari come to the end.
